My favorite part of bedtime with my toddler is after bath and tooth brushing… her daddy is deployed so a couple nights per week, we Skype with him so he can read her a story before he heads to work for the day. Every other night, she chooses between myself or her older brother to read to her. He is 15 and was always an only child but always wanted a sibling. He’s so good with her and it’s the best feeling to watch them together at bedtime.

My favorite thing about bedtime is the cuddles. My daughter is at that stage in her life where she’s gotten REALLY good at crawling and is working on walking… So she’s nothing more than a blur most of the time. She never wants to stop and cuddle with mommy. Right before bedtime is the ONLY time she’ll calm down enough to hug me and let me sing to her.
Cassandra Chea on September 4, 2017 01:51
After dinner, we get into our pajamas, and watch the goodnight program on babytv before she falls asleep in my arms.

Brittney Grant on September 4, 2017 01:13
My favorite routine happens once a week for one magical evening when I get to spend quality time with my now 1 year old nephew. We tire him out by playing with him, reading to him and allowing him to play with the books. We feed him a bottle and then my mom shows him a gingerbread man video which he loves complete with a stuffed gingerbread man of mine. He usually gets fussy so I like to lay him on my chest and just chill with him. We lay out the blankets and prep for bedtime and I just lay and watch my nephew dream away. I would love to make this book a part of bedtime once a week as he gets older.
Katherine on September 4, 2017 00:54
This will be the perfect book to read to my first grandchild when she stays the night with Tutu. She’s due in 4 weeks and I’m so very excited. I’d give her, her bath, her bottle and snuggle with her and read her this book.
Erica S. on September 4, 2017 00:39

Omg I adore your work. My daughter is already asking for a book! I have her and 2 boys and our 3 rituals for the 2 older kiddos are that they take a bubble bath and talk about how the day went, they brush their teeth, and then we get them settled into bed with a book and they fall into slumberland ❤️
Ann on September 4, 2017 00:07
We have brush teeth, read a story, and say prayers.
Dani H on September 4, 2017 00:06
Well she’s only 3 months old but we bring her to our bed and put her jammies on and give her a fresh diaper regardless of how much or little she “went”, frequently stopping to kiss her little face and blow raspberries on her belly. She thinks it’s the best thing in the world. We’ve learned to.move fast because she likes to potty all over mommy’s blankets… then we say our night time prayers. We pop in her paci and daddy kisses her head and says goodnight. Then mommy moves her to her bassinet and she falls asleep. She has lots of books for when she’s older and our routine will undoubtedly change.
Kayla D on September 3, 2017 23:47
Go potty, brush our teeth, and then we read lots of books! Then we give hugs and sugars!

My 15 month old son, Karter loves when I read him LOVE YOU FOREVER by ROBERT MUNSCH. I’ve read this book almost every night since I was four months pregnant. I laugh sometimes because he knows certain parts of the book. After we finish that book he has a paw patrol book he reads to me in his own way…he turns all the pages in his book, points to the dogs & makes dogs sounds…it’s his way of getting into character.

My daughter is one and a half years old. We do everything together! We get in our pajamas, brush our teeth together, and then sit in her princess tent in her room and read a couple of books! :) Her choice of books change every night, but she loves books with rainbows and happy characters! My daughter usually falls asleep in my arms and I place her in her bed! I look forward to our bedtime routine every night! I know she would love your book and to have the star plushie to hold while we read! Even if we do not win, we will still look for your book at the bookstore! It looks adorable! :)
Jetana on September 3, 2017 19:25
Bedtime Storytime, it rules the house as far as rituals go; there’s not a night that goes by that storytime doesnt happen, usually it’s two short books but we have to read ‘Happy if you know it’ every night. My kids do everything in that book and spin their stuffed animals around at the end. Its so adorable that they involve their stuffed animals at bedtime.

We co-sleep and even though we read books all throughout the day, when it comes to bedtime, we snuggle together in bed, read whichever books he’s picked out himself, as many times as he asks, followed by a nursing session. He always falls asleep with his little hand on my cheek <3
