Yes, I know it’s only September, but is it ever too early for a little Christmas magic? The latest book in my Piggyback Pals board book series, Christmas Cuties, is now out and it’s here to make your holiday season very merry, bright (and seriously cute)! The perfect stocking stuffer for the littlest readers in your life!

A little peek at the process in creating this book! This is the color sketch of the cover and interior spreads to send to my editor for approval. In this phase, I am working out the order of the characters on the cover, seeing how they will look on the cover stacked together, and planning out the general composition and content of each spread. At this point, I had already written text but it can be a back and forth process if I change the stacking order of the characters on the cover, which I'm sure I did for this book.
