Nothing Says Love Like Handmade April 22, 2013 16:37 7 Comments
There is something truly special about handmade goodies, imperfections and all. Seeing all the wonderful DIY and craft projects on Pinterest, Etsy, and craft fairs has got me itching to do some myself so I created some Cut-&-Sew Plushie projects and posted them to Spoonflower. For those of you who don't know, Spoonflower makes it possible for people to design, print, and sell their own fabric and let me tell ya, I've been having SEW much fun!
Here are some of my finished projects:
Pretty darn cute, if I may say so myself. I don't even really sew (only buttons every now and then). I even butchered one of my old throw pillows for the stuffing!
I'm not planning to sell the plushies themselves but I've decided to give them away as gifts with my books. It's also made me want to round up some friends to have a sewing party! You can get the fabric here if you want to make some yourself. Send me pictures if you do or post them to the Facebook page–I'd LOVE to see all your cute creations! :D
